Autoboyography - Christina Lauren

"Are you willing to be a secret?"

So yes, I liked this a lot. So much, I ordered a paperback version at 50% already.

I loved Tanner & Sebastian. Maybe Tanner a bit more than Sebastian. But I guess Sebastian's journey to come out was more painful. Tanner was lucky having these amazing parents that got his back. Sebastian was an amazing guy, but unlucky to have been born in a Mormon environment. This is what he knew. And then he meets Tanner......

"I don't presume to know why Heavenly Father does the things He does, but I know in my heart that He has a plan for each of us.
He brought you into my life for a reason, Tanner. I don't know what that reason is, but I know that there's a purpose for it.
I KNOW that. Being with you isn't wrong. The way I feel about you isn't wrong."

And although I think Sebastian's family seemingly were okay people, it still boggles my mind that some parents struggle with the idea of probably rather having a dead child than a gay one.

The Morman Church/LDS is interesting though. I believe it evolves with how the world changes so hopefully one day when the world is accepting enough that we are able to love who we wish, churches will follow.

“A God worthy of your eternal love wouldn’t judge you for who you love while you’re here.”

I hope this day will come soon.

P.S. the title of this book is a clever one!!!

"This was a week ago," he whispers.

When he looks up at me with tears in his eyes, he adds,

“I’m attracted to guys, and I’m with you right now, but I’m not gay. That’s a different choice, and I’m not choosing that path.”

“Like, you’re not gay, you’re not straight, you’re . . . you,” he says, leaning forward to catch my eyes. “I’m not gay, I’m not straight, I’m me."

Review: Rule Breaker by Lily Morton

Rule Breaker - Lily Morton

Sjeesh... As twisted borderline Gabe was behaving, I did like the basterd. It was a ff miracle Dylan forgave him that easily. Guess true love conquers.

I enjoyed the banter. I thought they were very funny together. And thank goodness, Gabe redeemed himself at the end.

Also see here for an extra bonus from the author Lily Morton Scrambled Eggs and Lemsip

I understand we can expect Henry's and Jude's story. I'm looking forward to that. They were awesome friends and they deserve an HEA.

Review: Facing West (Forever Wilde #1) by Lucy Lennox

Facing West: A Forever Wilde Novel (Volume 1) - Lucy Lennox

No obnoxious old women here. They've been replaced by Doc and Grandpa. I actually liked the guys.

Nice beginning of a series. Guess the Wilde family will consist of mainly gay men also. Just like the Marian family.

It was nice catching up with the Marian family. Getting some more info from Griff and Nico's earlier days was nice.

I'd like to share some pic from the author that inspired her in writing this story. I always appreciate an author doing that.

This book.... For me this book had the potential of being great. But sadly it wasn't.

I do love angsty emotional books but dammmmn being in Joel's head was too much. Maybe it was the first-person-writing, the continuing POV of Joel. There was no escaping from it. No light. I don't like feeling like that. The story may have needed Paulie's POV. I thought he was awesome. The light in Joel's life.....

Thank heavens Joel got to his senses at the end. The lucky SOB. Honestly, he drove me mad.

*no rating*

OMG I have never read about such shallow characters.... I'm astonished.

I'm not a person to DNF but honestly I can't do this knowing what's coming my way...

I'll just skim the last chapter to get closure and won't be rating this furthermore.

P.S. Bobby, I hate you!!! You're despicable.

"Are you really so stupid? Bobby is all about being the best: the best looking, the best lover, the best cocksucker, the best power bottom, the most wanted.

He would take Kevin - or any man - away from you in a heartbeat if he thought he had the chance, if he thought it gave him some kind of crazy edge, boosted his self-esteem a little more.

Loved this. Loved their family. Only little thing was that I had to wait so long for Callum's decision... I was almost scared I wouldn't get my HEA.

I'm so disappointed. I loved this series until this one. And I love dirty talk, banter and asshole men. But Troy and Shane... They were stupid. It really was just about the fucking..

Review: Dear Mona Lisa... by Claire Davis & Al Stewart

Dear Mona Lisa... - Al Stewart, Claire Davis

Cute enough novella about a man coming out to his daughter...

“Each time you stood together, your green and his scarlet merged. I’d never seen that from you before. I couldn’t stop watching. It was amazing and beautiful and made me cry. I didn’t know what to say but I couldn’t believe it. I still can’t. Colours are never wrong, Dad. Never.”
