This was amazing.
This was Kai for me. Sweet and courageous and I was rooting for him all the time.
Kai is a professional gamer and he spends all of his time in doors behind his computer and web-cam. He has made a living from it. He also suffers from a severe case of social anxiety that after three years, his subscribers and fans are the only people (besides his neighbor friend) in his life.
Garrett is a soldier, deployed out in Afghanistan. He’s a mechanic and his second tour up is nearly done . He can’t wait to get home and start a normal life.
In his spare time he plays games online and that’s where he meets Kai. They get to know each other through emailing and later on there is some seriously hot Skype sexting!!
I loved their connection. Garrett has this aggressive protective side and Kai was able to just sooth him.
After their reunion, real life kicks in and it’s time for Garrett to make a living. But he won’t be able to get a job in the same state as Kai lives. But is Kai able to overcome his anxiety to finally live the life he’s so deserves??
“I want you with me all the time. I want to watch you play games and stream on Twitch. I want to fucking wake up with you and have you teach me how to cook, and we can’t do that over Skype.”
My favorite scene was when Kai unexpectedly showed up at Garrett’s home. Determined to be with him at all costs. It floored Garrett and… me
“C-can I come in? He wrapped his arms around himself. “Please?”
