I just loved this. I love how Keira writes about characters so perfect for each other. Being the one the other exactly needs...
I loved that Jake grounded Nico. Nico was living with so much pain. He was determined to make his family, his father proud by being the rookie of the year. Jake himself just wanted to finish his last years of his contract and retire. He lost his best friend, his love but he also lost the love for his sports. But then he gets traded to Nic's team in Ottowa. They seem to think Jake's experience will be good to Nico's explosive behavior.
And my..... Did they work good together.
“Tell me how you feel,” he whispered.
“Like there’s no going back.”
